Feels great, sounds great, and has some light sounds to it too, Perfect weight, it never get out of tone, the burnt maple wood looks and sounds great, and I can keep going. To put a cherry on top. The guitar wasn’t selling, so they had it on clearance for $450. It was a steal! Con - only seen the Blue and orange in stock.

Any company you pay enough will make you a good (or even great) guitar! The difference with Dean is that everyone who works there is cool, approachable, and they're great to their costumers. The guys know their stuff, they're humble, and accommodating. The specs on these new guitars are awesome. How about that 8 String ML with a Kahler? (I think it also comes in a Strat style body. . .) Not everyone's cup of tea, but if Evan Rubinson (the CEO) is spending time in comment sections, making the case for the renewed quality control, I'm willing to hear them out. In my videos, I play a USA Dean ML, and it's KICKASS guitar! I LOVE it. But that's at 3000 bucks, so of course it's good. I think we ought to see if they have truly brought back the import quality, and give them a fair shot.

And as far as guitar virtuosity, I think some people under-estimate the amount of time it takes to make KZbin videos. It's hard to play like we're 17 years old again (8-10 hours of practice, No Job, No responsibilities, No bills... Who remembers those days?) I applaud anyone who puts themselves out there like Ryan. He's got a job (making videos can easily eat up over 40 hours a week for someone who does it for a living). We don't all have the time to practice licks, scales, etc. all day. Ryan, the mix sounds KILLER, by the way! How long did it take you to learn to do that, right?

Not to be a dick, nor judge a company by one guitar but one of the few $800 disappointments I've purchased was a Dean - and if you peruse the forums they get called a lot on quality. Specifically I got an RC 7 - yes lower end to be sub 1k. I was jamming with it at a party when the floyd rose bar fell out of it's socket and fell at my feet. I made the mistake of wanting to like it so much I gave it too long. I haven't played it in years.

Floyd Rose 1000 is the exact same materials spec as the German Original just made in Korea... its a fact not an opinion. Try harder
@justincase91734 жыл бұрын
That's funny. My experience and that of MANY others is completely different. A quick Google search reveals everything from finish durability, knife edge problems, to rough and poorly tapped/threaded fine tuning adjustments. Most of those problems can be attributed to manufacturing process. Material and specs may be "identical" on paper but craftsmanship determines the end result. It's common sense really. If you own one and are satisfied with it then I am happy for you. The rest of us on the other hand find an OFR, an original EDGE(steve vai included), or a gotoh 1996t(suhr oem) to be far superior choices for our higher end instruments than a budget oem floyd for budget guitars...just saying.
@Ikillintel14 жыл бұрын
@@justincase9173 The fact that you had to include a "quick Google search" to find crap to post in your reply comment tells me you're not speaking from experience you're repeating shit you've seen on the internet. knife edge problems huh... Do you know how many people order guitars equipped with a FR that haven't a clue how to set it up or service it, but when they fuck it up, right to the internet they go to shit on it, then where it was made and its downward from there. Knife edge problems are also caused by people not setting the guitar up correctly . Finish Durability let me let you in on a lil secret...sweat and oils from your dirty hands will corrode the parts and plating will peel over time.. but there are polishes out there that will prevent that from happening if you use them and can apply it to all the parts during the cleaning process, which involves taking your FR apart, something a lot of people are to intimidated to do. poorly tapped/threaded fine tuner.... I've never seen this not even on a FRS but in the event you have...a small file and set of magnifiers will easily take care of a burr OR you can contact FR in NJ and they will make it right! THAT IS if the guitar manufacture won't... and not that quality issues don't happen from time to time, they do....but its just not that common and manufactures more times than not if you have a legitimate claim are going to make it right but more times than not its user error and abuse/neglect that lead to product failure.
