Ztar’s are ridiculously high end midi guitars, they’re all hand made and new ones cost like 2400$ minimum, I’ve tried to get one used multiple times but they’re always one of the older models. They’re designed with use with Ableton live in mind so it should work, Rob Swire from Pendulum uses them during the live shows

If I remember correctly, that guy who made the bass used to take 7 strings and convert them into 6 strings for people with “large hands” and sell them on eBay… Many good 7’s were butchered for it. The Sevenstring forum hated him.
@deadinsidemcgee4113 жыл бұрын
He did that to a 7 string warlock. I like warlocks, I play bc rich and I was at the time looking for a 7 string. I was genuinely heated when I saw it. In a way I’m glad he did that because it lead me to finding my one of 250 7 string epiphone les Paul but I was heated in the moment.

I'm not familiar with that particular piece of Starr Labs equipment, but they are the guys who came up with the tech that is behind the harpedji, Stevie Wonder's favorite instrument. It's like a stick but in piano type form. I remember reading about their tech back in the 90's and then they kind of disappeared, until the Harpedji came out and I realized it was the same thing I had read about but in a commercial product. Wish I could afford one. ETA: Ztars are actually still available, and updated. Starr Labs has several models available. I Might have to save up and see about getting one. They are NOT cheap. But if you've ever played synth on the guitar, you know it's just cool as can be.
