Floof n Friends Ep 2: Thank you

I really tried to get this out for Valentine's day, so I hope this is close enough lol.

Since I text wall'd the first one, thought I'd just drop a few facts.
I'll start with why this one took so long.
I started this in August 2021.
There were a lot of delys lol.
The first few months went okay.
But since I'm still a one-person team literally learning as I go, I'm going fairly slow compared to how fast I used to be.
Covid hit me really hard early 2022. Took me maybe 4 months to finally feel okay again.
Like a month later, my tablet broke and that took another 3 to 4 months to send in and fix.
Late 2022 my kitty that I've had for at least 13 years passed away. Took a while to climb out of that pit of depression.
There were also plenty of weeks I was just consumed by stress and depression from not working for most of the year in between all of that. And it ironically caused me to not feel motivated to do anything.
2022 was a miserable time for me lol.
Some actual fun facts:
The scene around 1:00 was the first scene I animated for this.
There's about 4500 frames.
I tried my best to do all the voice sounds myself.
The reporter is voiced by the first friend I ever made in the MLP fandom @DeonRMitchell
We've been friends for like 10 years now. :)
He also enjoys voice acting, if you're looking to hire someone.
One of my top favorite things I did for this was that stupid looking waddle walk cycle for pony Fluffle at the end.
I also hope you like my knock-off, hopefully copyright avoiding, bug horse.
I think she's pretty. :)
I'm still sorry these are taking so long.
It really eats at me most nights.
But these characters still mean the absolute world to me, and I never plan to stop.
I know how much they mean to you, too.
I still get so much love and praise for them, even after all these years.
I even turned a whole wall in my home to hang all the personal notes and art people have given me in person.
I still don't feel okay with who I am as a person, but I've at least felt like I'm on a good path now.
And knowing all of you still support me this much despite how slow I've become genuinely fills me with energy that's been really helping me push through.

I can’t imagine anyone who grew up with this series and now as a young adult, living in the same unstable conditions that Chrysalis is right now must be feeling. Hell, *I* am not living in bad conditions but still shows the struggles some of us either have to go through or ARE going through. But it also shows that a friend indeed will be there to help us, as long as we LET them help.

​@@fishpop somehow this comment just made me realize it could be entirely possible that she is at least partially deaf, which would also explain why it is so rare for anyone else to speak as well, because she wouldn't be able to hear them if they did. And it would also explain how she communicates with noises but not words. Like if she ever spoke actual words it would come out slurred or jumbled because she can't quite tell how she sounds to everyone else. This theory literally just popped in my head, and I really like it now.

As someone who’s seen this series as a young kid but has seen updates for it growing up, seeing the series grow up with us is something else, I’m 17 now and fear Adult life a little bit, I’m glad to see a series even with a more grown up but positive approach, really nice stuff.

Ive been watching these ever since you uploaded "Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing on Rainbows" and to still see these characters after all these years brings me an absolute ton of Joy. this pink fluff has helped alot, I even tend to randomly blep and make that dang "pbbt" noise throughout the day almost 10 years later. I havnt seen MLP since 2015, but still love the work that former/current fandom members create. 10 Years and going strong, keep up the amazing work Floof.

I love the way you can convey the character's thought processes without them saying anything to each other. I can relate so much to Chryssi and how she doesn't want Floof to see her living conditions. Your animations have really helped me over the years, always being a source of comfort or humour with good pacing but also in showing how characters can appreciate and show affection without needing to say anything. Really opened my eyes to a lot of things, and this animation is no exception. Thanks for making and continuing the story between these two.

I loved this series as a young MLP fan in middle school and now I’m almost about to graduate. Puff and Chryssi have an adorable relationship and it’s adorable to see it carry through. I love how Chryssi's fridge is covered with old Flufflepuff/Chrysalis art! Really takes me back. Also, I love the design for I-can't-believe-it's-not-Chrysalis at the end! Don't beat yourself up for taking time to deal with IRL stuff. It is so unbelievably wonderful to see another instalment in the Fluffle Puff series! My first episode I watched was the Steven Universe crossover, and since then I've been hooked. Fluffle Puff is just so unconditionally sweet, and so bubbly and so unafraid to live her life in high spirits while uplifting others just because she wants to. It's always so uplifting to watch Fluffle Puff just be herself; it's very comforting and inspiring in the middle of managing insanely stressful periods of work.
