@@treyday5200 Some of these pop up breeders will have you believe it’s always been in the breed and pops up now and again to kid you that they are really rare but I agree with you that they’ve been cross bred and then back bred more recently.

Some frenchies aren’t mixed at all, it’s actually just a genetic difference essentially, Rottweilers have very thick coats compared to how they used to, Rottweilers fur used to be closer to a Pitbulls but throughout the years thicker fur coats will pop up every now and then and if the furry rotty is put to another furry rotty you get furry babies, it’s not always ideal for the standards but it’s not always mixed it really depends if they have a relative that carries that recessive hair trait, then there are a chance for those offspring to have it, it’s really just genetics, and with some they could be mixed but some aren’t mixed at all and are purebreds.
