About the cow thing. My dad (who is Hindu) explained it to me like this: When a child is born, they get all their nourishment from the mom's breastmilk, but when that child becomes a toddler, it doesn't drink the breast milk anymore right? What does it drink next? Cow's milk. So that cow is almost like a 2nd mother in that regard - it provides nourishment to the child after the baby has grown. That's why the cow's life is cherished. I'm not Hindu, but that was his explanation. Makes sense.

4:55 Ironically, yes. Here in Germany we have HUNDREDS of types of bread. So we call "Naan", "Naan bread" and "Toast", "Toast bread" or "white bread" (well, I'd say most germans would call it "an insult to bread"). Tortilla are, weirdly, just called by their name here. Maybe because of their "connection" to Tortilla chips (Nachos).

A counterpoint to the naan and chai discussion. If a person doesnt know beforehand that naan is a type of bread, or that chai means tea in hindi, calling it "naan bread" or "chai tea" makes it easier for the other person to understand what it is you're referring to. Until this video, I had no clue what naan was. I had never heard of naan. But when Iglesias in his standup said "naan bread" it immediately made sense without him having to pause his standup to clarify what exactly naan is. So while I understand the frustration, I don't think it's that big of a deal or a reason to get upset over.

In defense of English-speaking people saying "Naan bread" sure naan is a type of bread but "non" is also a word people will use regarding food that has accommodations to the recipe for diets and whatnot. Some people, in English, might get confused if not given all the context. Not everyone, but some people. For me, "Naan bread" always seemed like ""Naan" bread", like they're clarifying its bread and not something else. Saying "chai tea" is different, though; people need to stop adding that redundant "tea" after that XD Edit: I'm not India Indian, but I am "Native American" and I do "Mm, mm" and head nods to confirm to people I'm listening to them, but its more of a trauma response 😅

For example: whole wheat bread turns into a ham sandwich on whole wheat and a golden delicious apple turns into a golden delicious apple pie with the word apple there denoting the type of pie not the type of apple.
