When you’re cutting the sides of the top portion, how much do you tilt your fingers? Or are your fingers horizontal?

My hair looks straight even after sea salt spray, do you know any solution?

Hey! Achieving this hairstyle can be tricky for a few reasons. First, hair texture plays a big role. If you have straight hair, like my client, it can be more challenging to get the desired look. The haircut itself is also crucial; it needs to be layered properly to remove weight and create the right shape. Adding texture through specific techniques can enhance movement as well. Finally, styling methods vary depending on your hair type, so you might need different products or techniques, like using a hairdryer. It's a complex issue, and without seeing your hair in person, it's tough to pinpoint the exact cause.

There should be slightly more hair in the back to create that bulk and texture and it’s better to use pomade for something like this cause that’s what will give a low shine medium hold and texture to the hair. The kid in the video has relatively short hair so it would be better to use texture powder throughout his hair to give texture everywhere not just in the front

Thank you for your feedback! We all have different perspectives when it comes to hair, and that's completely okay. My approach is that longer, straight, dense hair can add too much weight, which reduces volume and limits movement-hence the decision to cut it at this length. I avoid pomades because they often contain shine and oils that can weigh down the hair. Instead, I prefer a paste or clay for better movement. Texture powder can also be effective when paired with a base product. Ultimately, there's no right or wrong-it all comes down to the client’s preferences.
