I got my son when he was 9. From the beginning, I treated him as my own. Listening to his problems, offering solutions and raising him to be a responsible and respectful man. At the age of 18, his birthday present to me was legally changing his last name to mine. He retired as a major from the army last year. I'm quite proud of him. Since he was 10 he has called me dad, he refers to his real father as "the sperm donor" and his kids call me grandpa. I am content

My mum adopted me when I was still a baby. I was the product of my dad and his mistress' affair while my mum was pregnant with my half brother. My mum raised me as her own and as "twins" with my half brother. I refer to my biological mother as "aunty."

Being adopted I can relate to Fluffy's relationship to Frankie. I like hearing stories like that. Actress Kate Hudson, Goldie Hawns daughter, has always referred to Kurt Russell as her father or dad because he raised her. (Kate's biological father is Bill Hudson and has no contact with her).
