Like someone said…This is like a whole ass short film. The framing and the characterization here is INSANE. It feels so realistic. (The movements when Latte was realizing what had happened to Muffin, slowly standing up and then …sharply? realizing the gravity of the situation and SPEEDING to the scene broke my heart.) This is genuinely why youre one of my fav animators. You are able to mix wholesome and tragic and FUCKED UP in a borderline masterful way.

I really would like to point out/appreciate something here at 2:52 , even if I’m incorrect. This whole scene is in monochrome shades of black, grey, and white, even Latte. The only thing besides maybe the caution tape (but even that has desaturation in the next shot) is Muffin. The only color pointed out is the blood, and Muffin’s arm. I’m not sure if that was intended but it has great emotional meaning from what I can see. Black and white being used as a blank slate, someone who’s so stunned by the instance that they can’t tell color from color, all they can see is the worst part. Latte doesn’t care about what’s going on he only cares about Muffin, and whether its just a stylistic choice or not I think it’s amazing. You did a wonderful job, Fluff! This whole video is something to behold!

One small detail that I really love about this AMV is-- almost all of, if not ALL of the side and background characters are mammals, birds, and reptiles. There may be one or two anthropomorphic fish from what I can see, but they may very well be reptiles as well. This ties in to Fluff's lore about how "fish people" were only very recent developments into their world, making the vast majority of anthro citizens mammals/birds/reptiles, and causing the fish to be discriminated against. It's just a little bit of environmental storytelling that I thought was neat!

I've been rewatching this animation over and over again the past ninteen hours, and I think I've finally got my thoughts in order enough to make a comment. There's something genuinely so special about seeing what happened to Muffin in animation from his perspective and in so much detail. It's been this big tragic event for years, and we've certainly seen bits and pieces, but it's... It's like we've reached the crescendo of a song, if that makes any sense. The raw emotion you can tell Muffin must be feeling, the dead eyes of the deer that impaled him, the perspective shots that make the world blur... It's all divine. It's the same feeling for me to see the scene with the middle school incident. I'm an avid lurker on Toyhouse, so I've known about it, and honestly never expected to see it in animation. It's so neat to see it put into motion instead of just in my mind! I love how you can tell Muffin loves his brother deeply, from how he tried to cheer him up as a child, to how willing he was to do something *very* stupid if it meant getting someone he thought was bad for him away, to how much he clearly tries to include him in his adulthood... There's just so much clear love for his brother that it makes what happened even more tragic. I also feel so bad for Latte, imagine assuming your brother would get home safe and sound, only to be woken up in the middle of the night by dozens of calls and texts telling you that he's been in a car accident-- That he's injured *bad*. I can only imagine the kind of guilt that would eat at you, what if you'd been there? *Could you have stopped it?* And, at the end, I need to say I love the polaroids showing how much the brothers loved each other as little kids. I love seeing Latte as a happy kid (his expressions in these pictures are everything to me, you need to understand), seeing the brothers seemingly happy and care free with no danger lurking around the corner (although, we know that's never been the case) It's also great to see Muffin's interest in taking photos be showcased in a video! As others have been saying, it's so interesting to see bits and pieces of your other videos show up. It's like a puzzle finally slotting together! It makes it fit together all neatly. Oh, and, a final little note... I oddly really really like how Muffin's hair was drawn in this-- Especially the small bits where it's out of its ponytail. It's cute! TL;DR: I can't wait for my Muffin plushie to arrive so he can sit happily with my Latte and Sleepwalk ! Chiffon in my display case.

I find this animation super haunting because the idea that I could do something to save someone but I didn’t find out until it was too late has been an absolutely terrifying thought to me. I only remember this channel from one meme in my recommended, so seeing this while scrolling through a bunch of Tally Hall songs and similar music was a shock. I’m definitely going to need to figure out the lore, though, since I’m not even sure which characters died or survived their injuries. This is such a beautiful depiction of sibling love. Even if they fight and are total opposites, Muffin still defended Latte and was always there for him, and Latte always appreciated Muffin's support. This is also just so so impressive animation wise with all the fluid motion and different backgrounds and how long the video itself is. The visual storyline is perfect. There's something so sinister about how you draw blood with extra texture when everything else is so cartoonish and solid with the lineart and coloring. Muffin's story just breaks my heart, a sweet big brother with a heart of gold who didn't understand Latte at times but never turned his back on him either. The death of a sibling is something so personal since they share the same childhood as you, and the melancholy of the last scene creates that feeling so well

I'm gonna cry SO hard gosh. Muffin seemed like such a loving caring brother, injury proned, but it seems from the fight he had trying to get Latte out of a bad group, it was usually for good reason. That scene with the deer and Muffin just sitting there, impaled and not able to do anything, is so chilling and terrifying without being stereotypically "scary", then followed by the frantic calls to Latte makes it so tragic. This detail must've changed since then because closely following the accident here he is shown to be covered up, much like a recently deceased victim is to prevent them from being exposed to the public. If he had been alive or on the brink he would've been hauled off to the hospital or in the process of by the time Latte arrived. Edit: Someone in another comment mentioned Muffin being in a coma, so I might be wrong!

okay. I REALLY like this work. I like the way the emotions of the characters and their feelings are shown here. and the part where the latte learns about the muffins death causes me goosebumps. Been waiting for this. It's a bit of a shame the premier is 4 AM my time, but oh, well. I can't wait regardless! Muffin was in desperate need of content, and now that problem has been fixed over the course of just a few weeks! I couldn't be happier! Edit: Wow. I decided to listen to the song before the video came out, and that told me that this was going to hit hard, but even then, I wasn't prepared. This went into so much more than I was expecting. Seeing so many bits of story we knew about but hadn't seen in a video yet was unbelievably exciting, and the emotional beats were fantastic. Seeing more of what happened when the vase fell on Latte followed by the fight when they got older showed their dynamic and how protective they are of each other perfectly. The part that was basically a remaster of the Epoch meme just stabs my heart, man. Seeing how many calls Latte missed and how fast he went to see his bro. SEEING THAT MUFFIN WAS FULLY CONSCIOUS FOR A WHILE AFTER THE CRASH. God. Leaving Chiffon out of the vid until the very end there was also a brilliant touch. This has solidified my love for these characters more than anything. This is easily your new best video. You've truly outdone yourself!

I can talk for everyone that we are here for get traumatized by sir fluff AGAIN PLEASE DON'T DO ANYTHING TO BABY MUFFIN I have a prediction of what this will be: the animation will show the past of the siblings and also their current present, it may be by waking up from a dream, suggested by the title of the song "alarm call", so my prediction is that possibly Latte maybe wake up from a dream that was remembering the past and Muffin, for then wake up "Alarm call" could suggest many things, maybe this portraits the moment Muffin was confirmed in a coma? Or it could be from someone unknown for tell something for Latte, but this is unpredictable for me so i can't guess much from it My first theory is this past and present collide, my second one is that maybe is a portrait of the moment Muffin was totally confirmed in coma for Latte, or a call about Muffin? I’m not one for watching animations for a second time or a third time immediately after watching it for the first time, but this is definetly one of those animations that I had to watch Atleast 3 times in a row but it tells Latte and Muffins backstory so thrilling and I recognized scenes from previous animation memes and it left my mouth open like THIS IS.. AMAZING and the music!! The music compliments the story and it runs smoothly and it’s GAH I could go on and on talking about how this is one of my favorite AMVS especially coming from you sirfluff, I can’t express enough how amazing and how smooth and how, rhythmic this is!
