Hi Emily, just came across your page ❤ So glad i did 😊 This is just magnificent 😳😲😯💜 I was just gobsmacked lol. The first land pour part looked like sand dunes, it kept changing with each addition. This is one of the nicest landscapes ive ever seen. Truly beautiful, thanku so much ❤❤❤

At 11:01 the landscape got at its BEST - having little harbors! And the sky was just Amazing! And the ratio between the sky and the land 3:1 is just Perfect! Very often artists over work their paintings loosing the TRUE BEAUTY! But Emilie is a TRUE artist - her colors combo are Amazing and she shows to the Fluid Art lovers-artists that the cells are not that important - without them artwork could be even more Beautiful and Meaningful! Thank you, Emilie, Very much for your experiments with the Fluid Art technique - you're a True Inspiration to many artists!:)

Wow.well done.that’s what I call talent you painted a sky and land with just pouring the paint.but you controlled it and manipulated it to look like it was just painted with a brush.it’s not just pouring paint and blowing it with a hairdryer.wonderful work.👏👌

Just gorgeous. And like a real sky, yours moved and evolved, with beautiful cloud formations being replaced with new beautiful cloud formations. You should be proud of that sky...it's magnificent, and the land compliments it very well with depth and contrast. Again, it's such a quiet painting which is an aspect of your work (of what I've seen so far) that really resonates with me. And your choice of palette is spot on. I can't compliment you enough! I look forward to seeing more.

I’m so grateful to have found you! My passion is to do something similar on recycled glass with resin, in layers. Until now I have been working in layers and allowing each to cure. I’ve learned so much watching these videos and am forever grateful! I’m currently waiting to be able to afford a quality full face mask because I’ve developed a sensitivity and resin is so pricy. I think I’m going to start playing with acrylics, your way, while I’m saving. I wish I could attach an image of one of my pieces. Many thanks!

Your works is always amazing. How do you decide what size of funnel to use for what section of the pour?
@emiliemayer3441 Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response! It’s all trial and error and experience. I’ve grabbed funnels that were too small and I’ve overloaded a small canvas using a large funnel. After a while you just know what size is going to get you where you wanna go…or you run out of clean funnels and just wing it 😂.

Where have you been Emilie? I just found you today with this gorgeous piece! ♥️ Your skies are like the Arizona desert where I live. Would you get the same affect using a travelling open cup as you would with funnels.
@emiliemayer3441 Жыл бұрын
Interesting! It wouldn’t work for me specifically because I need the small opening of the funnel to direct paint under the initial bubble of paint but I think that is a cool idea to explore

No base paint - I started with the funnel on a bare canvas. Thanks you for asking!

This s stunning. Did you use any type of base or pillow? It looks like you started with a dry canvas. Beautiful!
@emiliemayer3441 Жыл бұрын
Yes I usually start with a dry canvas, load my initial layers of paint into a funnel and let that start everything off. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Silly question, but where do you get those cups with the hole on the bottom? I’m new to pour painting and haven’t seen this before, but I really need to get them. This painting is beautiful!
@emiliemayer3441 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! They are kitchen funnel sets - various sizes and shapes are available on Amazon for $5-10.

I understand you are custom mixing your colours. Are they mixed with a paint medium such as Floetrol?? If so, what ratio of this to paint? Thank you!
@robbiedendy2447 Жыл бұрын
Would like to get a list of colors used in this gorgeous painting. I am hearing impaired.
@emiliemayer3441 Жыл бұрын
My colors are all random mixes. A lot of the time, I add a couple colors to salvaged paint or eyeballing my own colors from scratch or combine a couple mixes etc. I wish I could tell you but honestly how they all come together is a bit chaotic and hard to remember. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@debvoso94902 жыл бұрын
I couldn’t find transcript for this and would love the name of colors you mentioned
@emiliemayer3441 Жыл бұрын

When there is only medium at play and no intentionality it is hardly art....a lot of so called "abstract art" falls in this category. This technique however is in the right direction...and could be developed to achieve an artistic goal.
