One of the best dog movies every made. Really makes you appreciate your dog or pets more. Dogs are amazing creatures, I think they are here to remind us how we should be. We humans get wrapped up in life, money, jobs and tend to lose what is important. Dogs give us ground, teach us to be grateful and appreciate the simpler things. They love us unconditionally regardless of our faults. Be the person your dog thinks you are.

This movie was a big part of my childhood. My dad would play it for me and my brother almost every year around the holidays and we would watch it like it was a family tradition - with popcorn and tears and everything. My dad passed away from cancer a few years ago and every now and then I listen to this soundtrack and a wave of memories of my younger self with my dad come flooding in. After he passed, I couldn't watch this movie because it was too much to handle. I recently watched it with a very special friend of mine and we laughed and cried at the movie and I felt a little closer to my dad at that moment like he was sitting next to us and laughing with us. I hope to carry on the tradition when I have a family of my own some day :)

My dog’s name is Fluke because of this movie, he’s almost 17 years old… resilient little puppy. I was 7 when I got him and really loved this movie. Its a great film, makes you rethink your life and appreciate those around you… the soundtrack still makes me cry.

This movie was certainly full of life lessons. It wasn't just a 'dog' movie. It teaches you to hold onto what you can, and have the courage to let go when it comes time to do so. It teaches you to say what needs to be said while you can say it, and do what you need to do while you can do it. I was so young when I first seen it, but even then I understood the message it was sending. It was just that clear.

My dad died when I was a baby. I remember that, as a child and after watching this movie, I always wanted this to happen to me. I imagined while driving in car, that some dog will come after me with the soul of my dad. The sad thing is that I was never allowed to have a dog. After many years, I still cry on this movie, but I finally made my one wish came true: my son and I have one small but beautiful family with out german shepard whom I wanted for 29 years :)

i remember watching this film as a child and listening to this song, it enchanted me, mesmerised by emotion i could yet understand or articulate with words. This song is so profound to me it has echoed within me in my darkest moments and my sentimental ones as well, as sorrowful as it sounds it inspires a spark of hope, of endurance, of profound inspiration and courage. This is my favourite song of all time, my favourite movie of all time and will guide me for years to come.

This is one of the movies that make me so emotional. I remember when I first saw it as a kid or very early teenage years, I just cried a lot. Certain images stuck to my head, the car accident, the office scenes, being a workaholic and missing family life, the cemetery scene, snowing abundantly on the angel statue, Fluke's flashbacks of his wife and kid and the feeling of missing them. What is strange and kind of surprised me... I didn't remember Fluke's fur being so dark. In my memories of the movie, he had a golden fur. I could have sworn his fur was not so brown... I also could have sworn the movie contained more scenes with him spending more time with his family as a dog. For someone actually being scared of petting dogs in real life, this movie was and still is one of my favorites. I don't know why I find it so sad and emotional. I always cry at this movie at least a little bit. I cried a lot the first time seeing it. This movie and I think there's another movie, something similar... the dad doesn't spend much time with his wife and son and then he dies and gets a chance to some additional time with them under another life form. There was this other movie where the dad turned into a snowman. Both movies make me extremely emotional. People are important in one's life. More than anything else.

My best friend was taken from me almost 2 years ago. He and I used to take walks through the woods everyday, he was my shadow, my best friend. I first laid eyes on him when he was only a couple weeks old and my mother surprised me by bringing him home. He was the only one who was there for me unconditionally through the rough years of high school. It's not just dogs who are mans best friend, my best friend was a cat named Cosmo. I miss him every day and I know I will for the rest of my life.

@@DidoInFlames I have a theory on why that is. It's because at funerals, you know they're gone, but you aren't thinking about them or the memories you made with the person in that casket. But whenever you watch this movie, all the memories kind of flood back to you and that's when you realize that you're not going to get to see said person again. That's my theory of it.

my springer spaniel passed away almost two years ago due to lung cancer. she was 14. on her last day i took her to the beach to watch the sun set remembering all the good times we had. the saddest part was bringing her to the vet right after that. my family and i will always miss her. this track i dedicate to her.
