I was about to buy Fluke (2AC), I'm glad that I watched your video before buying it! You saved me $31 and the headache of returning it. Thank you very much. I really don't like that it doesn't have beep sound + batteries can have poor connection Which is critical.. it can be life or death! As I'm DIY Person who sometimes work on 220V !

If you are in life or death situation, you need a true multimeter

Thanks for the video. I think the uses of LVD1 and LVD2 are different of 1AC and 2AC. Perhaps they are used for things bigger than outlets and cords such as electric boards and larger cables. Plus, they're silent and have very bright LEDs. This suggests totally different use conditions. Therefore, I wouldn't prefer one over the other. It mainly depends on how and where you use it.

Fluke's LVD1A product page shows it being used in no-power settings (wiring new panel, etc). Flashlight & clip are handy when wiring unlit area. Thanks for the comparison.

Thank you for the revies of these 4 ncvd flukes! I had the idea to buy the 1ac-ii model because it has both visual and audible warning, but I was not sure... Now I am!

I've been using the 1AC for a few years now. I don't see any reason to change it works really well. I like the flashing light to show its ready and working. Great bit of kit.
here's a dumb question. if it is just flashing red but not beeping what does that mean?

My go to is the 2AC. I’m a commercial electrician and have had no problems with bad battery connections.

The lvd2 can even detect wich cabel that is the leader and wich is not. That's why you have to get real close to the cable before it turns red. It measuring the magnetic field around the cable and you can confirm it by holding it near a loudspeaker. Works perfect.

The video explains very well. The voltage test pen is still necessary. I bought a renhotecic brand test pen not long ago. The test is very convenient, accurate and safe. Family must.

My favorite it’s the 2ac … battery check , visual check , no beeps noise , I can use on all of my pockets pants or pouches … no heavy and so many reasons more …

I have the 2AC but was not aware that is did not make a sound when I bought it. I have had it for almost two years and I have not had any contact issues. So basically no issues just wish it had the beeping sound.

The only problem is that the tip plastic breaks easily than other brands and its not waterproof. Other than that this is the best.

Wow these are crap considering they are flukes, Klein’s blows this out of the water
@JimzAuto4 жыл бұрын
What specifically does Klein do better than fluke? I believe the Klein products are less expensive- any other benefit?
@youngscooter62904 жыл бұрын
JimzAuto buy one that’s all I can say, if your an electrician like myself you will appreciate the Klein tester over this one. Fluke meters are the best in the business, it’s a shame that this particular product just plain sucks
