Another cracking episode, thank you - and a reminder to all fellow anglers, that its not always about catching the biggest or the most fish!

Cracking video as always lads. Love that beach, and the harbour round the corner isn’t too bad either in the summer months for LRF. Had some decent Cod in amongst the boats. Will definitely need to give that method a try on the beach 👏🏼

Great Video, a local spot. I have to say I don't do a lot of beach fishing but nothing wrong with a bit of flatty bashing :)

Good Lads 🧐👍 over here in Denmark that style of fishing is very popular on the West Coast for flat fish Turbot, Brill and flounder! Enjoyable baner also ☺️ Best regards Smith

Cool fishing style; I will be imitating at Silloth on Solway and Port Carlisle! Looks good crack.
@angling360Ай бұрын
Cheers mate, now there's a town I've not heard of in a while. Silloth. Fished at the harbour their about 35 years ago for mullet.
@jimmycburfield5997Ай бұрын
@ mullet!!! My nemesis. Port Carlisle; the old harbour, full of Mullet. I lived there in summer 2005 for six months……never even hooked one!

Cracking way of fishing. Possibly could use the Texas rig on this approach

Good video guys only one thing with flounders that swallow the bait right down can be hard then o return back to the sea.

Try circle hooks size 2 and lift on amy bite if nothing leave it sometimes the movement helps

Thanks for shareing You should try the estuary caught Turbot just over the pound there and Sea Trout Thanks

Is it the Solway they do a catch flounders by stepping on them, risky cos that sandy stuffs bad for the wee weever fish bit painful
@michaelmilton5614Ай бұрын
Hi enjoying your videos, with this one you mention that you are using salted mackerel strips,how are you salting them,i have frozen mackerel but when they defrost they brake apart, they are freshly frozen within 2 hours of catching them
@angling360Ай бұрын
Cheers mate. So defrost n dry off with paper towel the fillets. Slice them up. Get yourself a tub, n layer it up with, paper towel, sea salt, strips, salt, paper towel and repeat. Pop in fridge a day or 2, then remove all.the salt n towels, put strips in a zip lock bag, with some sea salt, n they will last months in the fridge. I've caught decent sea trout on 3 month old salted strips. Hope this helps.

@angling360 thanks, I will get on it straight away.

Really keen to give this a bash, do you think anywhere on the clyde would be worth trying? Maybee one of the ayrshire beaches or even around largs?

Is beach fishing something you enjoy or is it just a "halibut" you have gotten into, at least you were not "floundering" on this one and those fish were just the "dab", clearly you both where at the right "plaice". Good work fellas, I'll get my coat
