It is supposed to be not serious. But you have to understand that there is nothing funny about the Nazi past to germans. Jew jokes and jokes about the Nazi history are not acceptable to a German living in todays society. The interview backfired with "nazi outfit" and "long hair, blue eyes". He tried to grin and bear it, but it was too much in the end.

As for the Nazi jokes, I feel bad for him if they offended him, but he probably knew what he was signing up for. PS: As an Austrian, I have quite a few German friends who make jokes like that/take them very lightly. :)

It is clearly not scripted. Multi-camera setup, deadpan, awkward humor. I bet they talk for about 5 minutes before they tape to get a general idea of what they want to do and then they spring it on their guests, and let it go from there.

Matt Featherstone Like the kind of comedy they portray is Deadpan. It not being scripted is the whole point of the show and the awkwardness they produce. The guests they have on the show know the premise but the awkwardness is genuine.

Amen to your comment about the negative comments. Unfortunately they sold the rights for the show to MTV in 2013 with the hope of it getting picked up as a series. MTV turned it down, which was a loss for them (and all of us). Obviously, though, Milana is doing just fine these days and I predict she will hit it really big very soon.
