Absolute perfection! Flume’s collabs with other singers are amazing but I always look forward the most to his solo tunes, Get U is the perfect example as to why, him experimenting with sounds is incredible, I guess he knows not everyone might like them, always releasing tunes for all tastes and fans. There are so many emotions and interpretations to this song the way it develops. The soothing, healing melody brings the reactive, outlashing emotions slowly into serenity and harmony. This is definitely one of my favorites from the album.

Truly a cousin of Porter Robinson's dullscythe. In dullscythe the song went from small notes repeating in loop trying to get to something more beautiful and alive. Here in GET U we go full raw at first before chords and voice come in. Love this progression.

Even with those in-your-face kicks at the beginning of the song this makes me feel so calm, a deep sense of inner peace I didn’t think I’d be able to feel with a song and the second part is just the cherry on top Self-titled was one of my favorite albums during high school and being able to witness how Flume’s sound has evolved is amazing It’s been a wild ride, from the ‘Sleepless’ days or that remix of ‘Higher’ to ‘Palaces’ Can’t wait to see Flume live next month in Mexico City 🥲🤝
