There's even a book called Steal like an Artist by Austin Kleon where he's says nothing is absolutely original and it's okay to steal...

Well yeah, someone had definitely had a similar idea to you before. As long as you aren't doing something wholly 1:1 for the sake of trying to seem original it's fine. The point of remakes is to understand how something is made

Mozart, Chopin, Bach, Paganini…. they all did it too. Hell yeah to that. I think of it like we’re all kind of tapping into some bigger energy field and channeling it through us. So if it resonates with you, fuck yeah! Go for it 🙌

Absolutely, copying something gives you something to aim for and compare to, then you know you can create something specific so you now have creative freedom

It's actually a great example of the Collection Conscience working in perfect harmony for optimal evolutionary results. And when the intention of the individual being pure in nature-and I'd say personal growth leading to finding one's unique self along the way most definitely is pure than there is no need in associating this method of learning with any negative ideas like copying someone else's work whatsoever. ❤ I absolutely love Flume.

It's how electronic music is. You can remix anything or take an idea and copy it without any feelings being hurt. It's beautiful.

Take it with a grain of salt. This guys sound in completely unique. I wouldn’t apply it to making metroboomin beats haha
@harshmalhari8519 Жыл бұрын
Honestly, thats not a bad idea
@taylorpsounds Жыл бұрын
Yea but if you learn how to make a piece of Metro, a piece of Flume and a piece of someone else you can better understand how to make different styles and it will help you understand how to make things unique to yourself which I think is what he's saying

The more time you put into understanding the spokes, the easier it becomes to reinvent the wheel. That's what I got...

Of course he can say things like that from the position that he's in. I have spent three years copying Flume and got pretty close to his sound, but i do not put my music up. It just feels wrong. There is nothing in it that i came up with, it doesn't have any value. This is a good piece of advice and the most fun way to improve your production skills, but i guess some people are just destined to a life of copying...
@AidanChickTV2 жыл бұрын
be careful though, he's talking specifically about starting out. He's saying too many people skip over this step, but you shouldn't do this when you get to the point of releasing a project.

I listen to this copycatt artist ,funny thing he sounds totally unique no other bass sounds like his .
