The reason why some games know your location, is because of your IP. Your IP is everything on the internet: wifi, default language, data.. and its associated with the location you have as your home. The game will use your IP to make it feel like they know where you live.

Theres a game i once played, forgot name, but it literally doxxes you, says your age (roblox settings, im 11 but i have +13 for the camera and vc setting) so it said im 19, it also said my actual ip (its my actual ip from where i live, i checked it) and says basically where u live, everything. It scared me a bit because a friend said "join bro its a fun game :D" and when i join an "you were kicked" popped up, and it said all i said before, ip, where i live, name, and uhhh age
