Hi I was wondering what would happen if you cleaned the outside and inside of a flute with alcohol wipes? Would it damage the flute?

Hi! I use acohol too but only over the keys with tissue paper (not on their sides, because the pads are too close). These days i feel that maybe i was doing it wrong, because i do it everytime i keep my flute into its case. Maybe it's too much obessive action of cleaning. I'm afraid that the alcohol could fall down over the pads.😢 What do you know about the alcohol action over the pads if something like that accidentally happens?

I dun recommend using tissue paper to clean flute and not to use alcohol to clean the pads but the flute tube is fine, spray alcohol on the cloth and wipe but not on the flute surface directly even the powder paper for pads dehydrating, my former teacher did not recommend me to use coz she said it might damage the pads if not using properly

can i put my flute wipe in my flute box instead or i need to put my flute wipe some where else?

um...I would try to keep the flute box clean as much as possible even dust might get in through air so I would recommand my students close the flute box always
