In brief, Parker Elementary is a music magnet school in Houston, TX. They have strings, vocal, piano, and band programs. Marianna Simpson has been in charge of the vocal program for over 20 years now. The choir shown here are the Advanced chorus which is 4th and 5th graders. At this point Ms. Simpson has been teaching most of them since K/1st grade. They start off learning basic musicality with some singing as little singers then progress to beginner choir, then advanced. Ms. Simpson really excels at expecting and receiving the best effort from her singers. She's also extremely adept at balancing voices to achieve the results you get here consistently year in and year out. You can see some more of her success with the Treble Choir of Houston which consists of young ladies 5th grade and older.
