Missing section: long term plans for Flutter. After the big endorsement of KMM it simply will not make sense for Google to keep two competing platforms around, so one will go sooner or later. The under-ambitious attempts to play this down are not convincing, tbh. I can only advise to keep Flutter and Dart. Compared to Kotlin it is immensily easier to learn and has much more of a neutrality vibe compared to "bending" Android's #1 language over to other platforms.

Started learning flutter a few months ago and now I don't even know what to do. I saw that announcement for KMM and now I'm just like why not go to React, as it has a much more stable future. L move.

Yes really difficult to trust google .. they burn tremendous amount of their own energy and get everyone hyped and then all of a sudden pull the plug off ...

As far as I understand KMM only let you to share buisness logic nothing else. While flutter can share ui and buisness logic too

They keep improving flutter and adding new features, what more do we want? Flutter will die only if we jump to something else where it doesn't make sense for them to keep it around. To me flutter is way better than the competition, until it's not I'm staying. Simple as that.

the developers need a definitive answer from google whether they plan on killing flutter. Because in every single video youll find comments regarding the worry. Hard to get excited about new features if it'll be potentially useless after couple of months or years

Plenty of devs seem to be developing just fine with it including Google itself. Perhaps its best to not focus on a vocal minority whose energies should be better spent building something instead of forecasting when the platform will die.

This is the exact thing many people are worried about. In this years Google I/O, Compose Multiplatform was outshined over Flutter. Also google is invested in developing new apps using Compose Multiplatform as mentioned in the I/O. Also lay off from flutter team could be concerning.

Well just a question related to macros, what if my int id as variable is being written as json[id], but the json format of that id is _id in that cause ill get the error, how to overcome this ?

This is just an experiment, not even a beta. If the feature will be released, you'll obviously be able to customize the code generator in a similar way how json_serializable allows you to do so.
