i literally got back into Flutter today with Fireship's course and was banging my head at multiple stages trying to get Firebase set up the old way... after i had used the new CLI tools to initialize it 🤯 wish i would've had the foresight to check my subscriptions feed for this video, would've saved me 2 hours! although after watching this i realized i did miss a few steps 😬

So with flavors, your applicationId and bundleId would differ for each, do you then just create your different firebase_options.dart files manually? Or is this redundant since flavors have config files in the ios folder?

I had an issue running the flutterfire config command. I had to logout of firebase then relog to go through.

Is this just another way of adding firebase or the only current way? Last time I built an app, I added Firebase manually by downloading the file and adding the necassary lines in the different files. Is this manual way still applicable?

I tried to install the CLI and gave it some kicks, but it came to a problem for the 'npm' command one which results "The term 'npm' is not recognized" so should I install the Node.js at first?

Had the same problem with dozens of tries. Finally stumpled across the npm documentation where they recommend using a version tool. I used NODIST and from one second to another npm worked completely fine.

I am unable to resolve the below issue even after adding the below mentioned path in .bash_profile and .bashrc. Flutterfire command is not getting recognized. Pub installs executables into $HOME/.pub-cache/bin, which is not on your path. You can fix that by adding this to your shell's config file (.bashrc, .bash_profile, etc.): export PATH="$PATH":"$HOME/.pub-cache/bin" Activated flutterfire_cli 0.2.2+2.

@@shlemagoldsmith5799 After adding the path in .bash_profile as shown below: export PATH="$HOME/.pub-cache/bin:$PATH" I ran the below command without closing the terminal: source ~/.bash_profile Then immediately I ran the below command without closing the terminal: flutterfire configure Which solved the issue. But closing the terminal and running the flutterfire configure is not working. Its bizard but it took a large amount time for me to resolve. Best wishes.
