Yeah it goes well. I normally pull about 100ml per week with it. I am dosing vodka in this tank which doubled my skimate output.

Hey how did you get the rock into the small opening in the top?
@saltwater-conversion452310 жыл бұрын
It is a bit like building a ship in a bottle with the Fluval edge when you are trying to get big rocks in it! If you have a look at the photos in the video you can probably see the photos where I broke it in two and stuck it back together in the tank with epoxy putty. In my opinion it is always best to have a single structure rather than lots of little bits of live rock in a tank this size.

How do you keep the Sand bed so clean. Do you stir it or is it all the Cerith?
@saltwater-conversion45238 жыл бұрын
I actually siphon the sand bed a little every water change but this is a bit of a controversial topic, some people say to leave the sand alone but in a small tank I much prefer it.

What system do you use for top up? Do you dose this tank?
@saltwater-conversion452310 жыл бұрын
I use a custom ATO made by another small company called reefloat. It is great quality and works much better than the popular German made one I had prior to it. I sure do, have a look a the description for more information.

can u explain what Vodka is good for in nano aquarium?
@ryanjofre10 жыл бұрын
It's called carbon dosing sweetie, The Vodka is preferable to vinegar(even though vinegar is fine) because unlike vinegar isn't not acidic and wont specifically lower your pf(which would be more of a legitimate concern small tank like this). Read about Carbon dosing, pretty interesting to say the least. AWESOME, Nano tank.

Olga I have a good article on my website that explains vodka dosing if you are interested. saltwater-conversion.com/pages/carbon-dosing My clown fish is fine with it and says he can give up any time he wants ;-)

As long as one is smaller than the other, it should be fine.
@rawegg888010 жыл бұрын
NanoAquatic That's what i thought lol
@Mrbgatooo10 жыл бұрын
if they're both "big" that means that both of them are females, so of course they will fight because females are the dominant ones, that means they're the ones that are always fighting, the problem is that sometimes the weaker fish can't stand the stress of this fights and they end up dying :/ that's why you gotta buy clownfish that have lived in the same tank and both of them have to be young ones cause that means both of them will be males, as they get older they will start fighting to determine who's the dominant fish, after that, the dominant fish will change it's sex and turn into a female and it will become bigger than the male one, and after all of that they will start swimming side by side happily. :)
@rawegg888010 жыл бұрын
Yea I know all that :)
