I really like the chamber cover, it's a clean look. My question is: is the small cutout on the right back cover the only option? It would be challenging when you're running multiple lines (heater, co2, sponge filter, etc.) I suppose you could run some of those through the holes, but that would really kill the aesthetics. Any thoughts??

I would modify it as needed honestly. Just cuz not everyone’s using that stuff ya know?

I’m having problems with noise of the pump. It’s making the lid of my tank vibrate and the pump is loud in running. I made sure pump wasn’t touching the tank and I put a sponge under the pump. Is your pump loud? If so can you recommend a quiet pump for this tank?

I don’t think he’s officially decided on that particular design yet. May modify it a bit before production.

for mine I bought a aquaclear 70 sponge pack which includes 3 sponges cut on of the sponges to fit the intake guard and then started layering them into the 1st compartment blocks one all the holes but still allows the water to flow in and out. Next off the middle part is good as it is if you can replace the carbon and put more ceramic or plastic rings in there the last compartment is good as it is maybe a heater and thats all the sponge pack runs around $6-7. Does a hell of a job

Hiya i love your vids on you tube. I have a fluval flex 9 litre but ive lost my white light. Ive bought two remotes but now again I've lost my white light. All other colours work, so do you have any help with getting my white light back. Oh and a few weeks ago the white worked for a day but then stopped again so the light seems ok. Any ideas or do you change yours?
@AquatikGuru2 жыл бұрын
I had one do that and removing it to look at it made it start working again. If needed tho, replacement lights are very affordable

How did u attach the moss to the driftwood so neatly
@AquatikGuru2 жыл бұрын
I glued patches of moss to the wood with gel super glue. Then I trimmed it so it was maybe 1/4 inch long and let nature do the rest. Trimming accordingly to a desired shape over time.

@@AquatikGuru thanks for the info, any particular moss? Where should i buy it from, local stores do not have any
@AquatikGuru2 жыл бұрын
@@Official_JokerMan in this scape I used weeping moss. I also like Christmas moss. Flame moss is becoming one of my new favorites but it’s meant to be grown towards the bottom of the tank as it grows upwards resembling flames rather than drooping like weeping moss or growing everywhere like Java moss.

If you purchased the filter modification, what layers would you personally put in filter since now there are 4 options on each side?
@AquatikGuru Жыл бұрын
Course sponge, fine sponge, and polyfil. Maybe with some plants on top growing out and above the tank like porthos
@AquatikGuru Жыл бұрын
The top layer I put pebble rock and push the roots of plants like porthos into them to grow out of the tank while filtering the water simultaneously

Forgive my ignorance on what it's called, but where did you get that wood/plant, in the rear right corner, that looks like a small Bonsai tree? I just bought a Flex 15g and would love to make something just like this setup :)
@AquatikGuru2 жыл бұрын
It’s actually just a couple oak limbs combined to look like a tree haha! Then I wrapped moss around the branches so once it filled in it would look like a tree. Only issue I had is the moss thickened up so much that it drowned all the light from the bottom of the tank so I ended up having to move it
@JasonsFourCamFox2 жыл бұрын
@@AquatikGuru Thank you! My wife and I both think it looks amazing! Where did you get the Oak limbs at? Actually, where are you buying the plants and everything else at too?

The oak I got from a friend of mines company called DriftwoodOutlet. I actually have a video unboxing some of the stuff he sent me to choose from for this project that includes a link to his store. Just search Driftwood Outlet in your KZbin search and it should pop up as the first video. As far as the plants, I got those from a company called Aquarium Plants Factory. I used tissue culture plants as I’ve always had great results with them personally. I also have a video doing an unboxing of all the plants I ordered. Again, just search Aquarium Plants Factory on your KZbin search and it should be the first video shown with my logo as the person who posted it. There’s a link in the description to the stores on both of those videos to the companies stores! I hope that helps guide you further into your awesome project!

@@AquatikGuru Cool, watched both videos this morning. I'm sure this won't be our last aquarium, so as much as I hate it, I'm going to buy some plants from PetSmart now, then once we learn more, I'll start ordering plants online. I might even add some more plants to this tank soon. As far as fish, we're thinking about adding several small ones into this tank, along with one Betta? Never owned a Betta, so unsure about them getting along with other species of fish, even though the Pet store people said they would, just don't put more than one Betta in a tank?

Bettas are hit and miss, sometimes they’re aggressive, sometimes they’re not. It’s just a matter of attempting truly. It may work it may be total chaos lol

The trouble with my flex is that the fish jump out when the lids off so I couldn't imagine risers!

I personally haven’t had an issue with this, but that definitely doesn’t mean it can’t happen.

That being said, you could cut a piece of polycarbonate sheet and cover the tank itself while still utilizing the risers
