Fluval Stratum for Planted aquarium

Thank you for explaining the difference between the two. I knew that I wanted to use the Fluval Stratum in my tank but I didn't know anything about the bio Stratum.

how do you avoid the dark cloud of death when filling with water?

You have to slow fill it with a Siphon tool or tank cleaning Come out tube I figured out through trial and error
