So far so good! It has been a big help for me living in the Pacific Northwest where it rains most of the years so I didn't have to freeze to death with the garage door open or have the rain blowing in when I want to use it. The only real smells I get are when my roommate etches bone, leather or antler. You can smell the wood as well but it just smells like a campfire.

I work in a school with an alarm system designed by a reformed pyromaniac. Does the laser cutter need any special venting or a BOFA filter? What kind?

Like Muriel, I too would like to know how loud the machine and fume extractor are? Will this be okay running in a home office at night while others are sleeping?

The laser cutter and fume extractor are not very loud. The noise level is similar to that of a medium-sized fan. It probably wouldn't be an issue to have them running while others are sleeping, as long as they're not in the same room.

Great video! is the air extractor+machine make a lot of noise? what kind of noise? like a vacuum cleaner or louder?

Sorry for the slow reply. The laser cutter and fume extractor are definitely not as loud as a vacuum cleaner. The noise level is more like that of a medium-sized fan.

The test disk took about 2.5 minutes.

It is such a fun little machine and so awesome and great for a first timer like me! It took about 2.5 minutes or so and produced at least 10 minutes of giddy glee from me. ;)
