What a great presenter. Thank you. Im in the same boat. Have never lasered and just bought a Beamo. Had to send my first one back as a small glitch but the support from head office has been fantastic. Looking forward to getting my replacement learning new skills

Thank you! I am a little bit of a goofball and tend to make horrible puns and jokes that make you go "UGH" but seriously, how do you hold a big box cutter and not pretend it is a light saber?

Hows the air filter and odors works out? great video Thanks.

So far so good! It has been a big help for me living in the Pacific Northwest where it rains most of the years so I didn't have to freeze to death with the garage door open or have the rain blowing in when I want to use it. The only real smells I get are when my roommate etches bone, leather or antler. You can smell the wood as well but it just smells like a campfire.

@@thetravelingdork Thanks. I think the filter have another exhaust on the bottom back to even vent out through a window, right? Thanks a lot for the help.

@@thetravelingdork Looks like 3D Universe (the link on the description) don't sell the beamo anymore?

I work in a school with an alarm system designed by a reformed pyromaniac. Does the laser cutter need any special venting or a BOFA filter? What kind?
@3duniverseOrgWelcomesYou4 жыл бұрын
Yes, you'll want to either vent the laser cutter out a window or into an existing ventilation system. If those options aren't available, FLUX offers the Beam Air fume extractor: shop3duniverse.com/collections/flux-laser-cutters/products/flux-beam-air-fume-extractor

Like Muriel, I too would like to know how loud the machine and fume extractor are? Will this be okay running in a home office at night while others are sleeping?
@3duniverseOrgWelcomesYou4 жыл бұрын
The laser cutter and fume extractor are not very loud. The noise level is similar to that of a medium-sized fan. It probably wouldn't be an issue to have them running while others are sleeping, as long as they're not in the same room.

Great video! is the air extractor+machine make a lot of noise? what kind of noise? like a vacuum cleaner or louder?
@3duniverseOrgWelcomesYou4 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the slow reply. The laser cutter and fume extractor are definitely not as loud as a vacuum cleaner. The noise level is more like that of a medium-sized fan.

Cool to see this in action! :D How long did it take to etch and cut out the test disk?
@3duniverseOrgWelcomesYou4 жыл бұрын
The test disk took about 2.5 minutes.

It is such a fun little machine and so awesome and great for a first timer like me! It took about 2.5 minutes or so and produced at least 10 minutes of giddy glee from me. ;)
