*edit* My bad in the beginning I meant to say waiting for Flux controlnets for Forge. 😅 As of today, still no Controlnet support for Flux on Forge but I will keep an eye on when it's available. Are any of you using the Flux controlnets on Comfyui? What are your initial thoughts.

I tried ComfyUI I would rather sandpaper a lions ass wearing a pair of porkchop panties than use that confusing ass mess.

this flux style transfer hack looks super fascinating. It's amazing how LLMs are revolutionizing creative workflows.

Agreed! Technically it can work on any model, but it works best with models like Flux, Auraflow, Dalle etc that can utilize higher tokens.

I am trying to experiment with AI locally. Among all of your many videos is there one that will guide me selecting the right hardware and software configurations to make this possible. (I hate Microsoft and Apple - prefer Linux.)
@MonzonMedia4 ай бұрын
I have a pretty outdated video I did last year and have been meaning to update it but it will give you an idea of what you need however it's geared towards windows users. Also the part where I cover local platforms are kind of outdated. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZbUoaqPgbKUhJIsi=deIZ0p3rb2yMiaSw. The other factor is I'm not sure how it is for Linux but generally, Nvidia GPU's are currently the best choice as most of the architecture takes advantage of cuda cores which is only available on Nvidia cards. For standard image generation 12GB GPU's are ideal but the more you can afford the better. So I'd focus most of your budget on the best GPU with as much VRAM as possible. Also make room for SSD drives, not only for model storage because they can add up but for the read and write speed. System RAM also helps, 32GB is the minimum these days but if you can afford 64GB I highly encourage it. Hope that helps to get you started.

@@MonzonMedia Thank you. I have looked at your "outdated" introductory video. It was very helpful. I am trying to find something for under $1000. I like the mini pc form factor with lots of interfaces, multiple USB (HS, reg and C), micro SD, 2 HDMI). Most come with windows installed but I can install Linux, (preferably Debian 12), on nearly all of them. I do most of my shopping on Amazon but I have also purchased from Newegg and would consider others if you recommend them. Do you have a recommendation for a specific box I might buy. (I would like it to be a single purchase, not something involving customization or separate purchases that have to be configured.) I only need the box. I have wireless keyboards/mouse combinations and I am using two TCL 720p flat screen TVs as monitors. Network wise I am set up for wifi and wired.

@MonzonMedia I have ordered a "MINISFORUM Mini PC Neptune HX99G AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX 64GB DDR5 1TB SSD AMD Radeon RX 6600M Mini Gaming PC Wi-Fi 6E/BT5.2, 2xHDMI / 2X USB4 Port, 2X Slot PCIe/SATA SSD, 5X USB3.2 Port". Hopefully, that will do the job. Thank you for your help.

@MonzonMedia Update: I learned from some research that EasyDiffusion is not going use the GPU if it doesn't have the cuda cores, so I'm returning the MinisForum computer and have ordered an "ABS Cyclone Aqua Gaming PC - Windows 11 - Intel i5 13400F - GeForce RTX 4060 8GB - DLSS 3.5 - AI-Powered Performance - 32GB DDR4 3200MHz - 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD - CA13400F4060" from Newegg. The GeForce RTX 4060 is actually made by MSI but it is my understanding that it is using NVIDIA's chipset and does have the required cuda cores. (I did really want the mini PC form factor but couldn't find one with the NVIDIA type GPU.) So with a little luck I'll be up and running in a few days. In the meantime, I'm going through your more basic videos on the subject. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for the Video. Quick question. Do you like Forge or Swarm for Flux?
@MonzonMedia4 ай бұрын
If I had to choose I prefer Forge, only because it's just like Automatic1111 and that's what I started with. Swarm has the benefit of having comfyui as the back end so things like Contorlnet for Flux would be available earlier to ComfyUI/Swarm. I don't mind waiting though for things to be updated in Forge.
@begineditingfilm4 ай бұрын
@@MonzonMedia Thanks, I like Forge and have used it in the past. Just started to try Swarm. But lots of new learning. "Learning is good". I will have to take a look back at Forge again. When I heard it was no longer being supported, I moved over to Swarm. Thank you again. William
