How do I explain the reasoning for using one CTA and also how do you communicate value of design to executives and people that only care about numbers and revenue

Great questions. One CTA produces better results-a win for the business. When persuading appeal to their desires, and show how things like improving conversions, brand recognition, communication of quality, customer experience (all design problems) can help them reach their goals.
