This is the music I hard growing up. All the family would get together for what they called a big time jamboree. Seemed everyone was either playin an instrument or singing along. It was the happiest time of my life. Thank you for a glimpse of what will always be home in my heart.

My Daddy played the banjo and anything else with strings. He was in a bluegrass band back in the 50's. He passed away a couple of months ago and we were estranged for most of my life but the one good memory I had was listening to him play the banjo. That's all I asked for when he passed and was told some people had gone in his house and took all of his instruments. They were kin folks on my Step Mother's side (she's passed too) and it really broke my heart. When I listen to you and your friends it brings back those good memories. Thank you Ms. Abby. Love you much❤️

Fills my soul and body with pure bliss. I literally cannot hear a banjo without chills. 😂❤ Or a harpsichord or a cello. Those three instruments give me full body chills. There goes those shaved legs. Don't mind. Winter is on its way..😅 Time to get furry again. For those of you that couldn't understand. Apparently, you don't live in the frozen tundra. I don't pay attention to time.. It was a shocker to me. Realizing that we only had 3 months of warm weather. If the weather was kind to us. Blew my mind when I finally figured out. Sometimes 8 to 10 months a year it's cold. Even more if you have a dull summer. Whispers of fall and winter poking through before it's time. I'll never forget telling my mama. Oh my gosh you need to shave and scolding her. She said you're going to hit a number. I'm going to base it somewhere in your late '30s '40s. You ain't going to care about the hair on your legs. I said never.😅 You know what saying never does.. It makes you do exactly what you spoke against. Look at me Mom. I've got a starter kit going. It's been cold this summer. Already got my leg warmers on.😂😂😂 Yes.. My mother nailed it. Utterly nailed it. Of course she would.😅 Because she told me never say never. And I did it. Yeah never say never. Never as always. And forever❤😂

Your broom unlocked a long forgotten memory of mine. My great uncle used to play a straw broom like that. I cannot, for the life of me explain it, but he would use sand and somehow make music. A few of the other cousins would use washboards and who knows what else, but I distinctly remember the broom. ❤
