There are times in my life when I feel exhausted, fed up, completely done with this life. But when I hear this music, I'm instantly transported to my youth. Long summer days spent on the lake, exploring the woods, going on adventures. Laying on a dock watching the sun set over the water, sitting around a campfire with my family and telling ghost stories, getting up at the crack of dawn and sitting outside watching the mist rise above the corn fields. I'm starting to tear up as I write this.

Sounds like you had a very wonderful childhood! I did as well, and this music does the same for me! Your experiences all sound so lovely to me - except for getting up at the crack of dawn! I would love watching the mist rise over the corn fields, but I know I would not like having to get up early! I am a night person - when I was little, my older brother and older sister would take me outside (lived outside our small city and on the edge of a forest) and we would throw one of my grandmother's homemade quilts on the hood of our old car, and we would lay on our backs and gaze at the stars. (That's my alternative to your early morning story! Ha! Ha!) A wonderful film, and amazing soundtrack!

This movie and soundtrack moves you to tears. I learned to love geese thru this movie. Nowadays I have wild geese around me daily, some geese count to my best friends! They're very intelligent, social, friendly, lovable, wonderful, beautiful creatures, I love them to bits! Fly Away Home is one of the best movies ever made!

What an inspiring piece. It practically sings “flight”. I realize that the scene for which it was written was a brief one, but it’s a shame that the composer of this piece didn’t feel it deserved a full, longer version.

One of my favorite movies of all time and the best soundtrack ever!!!! We bought this when my daughter was young and we watched it more times than I can count - never got tired of it. Now this soundtrack is on my playlist and I love listening to it!!!

I love this music very much!!! It's very emotional !!!! And how Isham matches the music with the scene in the movie where Daniels fly to the sky is amazing!!!! The movie also I love it !!!! I have seen the film infinitely times and I do not bother it ever!!!! I love it!!!!

I think I use to rewind this scene just to hear the music again! How Isham matches the music Thomas (Amy's dad) gliding through the air up to the point where he "crashes"/lands back down on the ground it's amazing! Each glid through the air is matched with the violin, not only in the phrases mimicing the flight/gliding but the rasing of the pitch mirrors the scene beautifully!

OMG, ich glaub es nicht, dass du ausgerechnet diesen Film magst! Das ist der einzige, wo mein Vater mit mir ins Kino wollte. Er mag Gänse, aber vor allem alles, was mit Fliegen zu tun hat. Wir haben beide geheult. Das ist echt selten, wir sind nicht so nahe. Irgendwie triffst du immer meine Interessen, es ist spooky!

Does anyone know where I can get this soundtrack at a reasonable price? I found it on Amazon for $200 and on ebay for $40. The music is absolutely breathtaking and I'd love to own the soundtrack but I'm not paying that much for it...
