On a whim Sidra and I decided to hike deep into the backcountry to fish a beautiful brilliant aquamarine alpine lake that is absolutely stuffed with beautiful wild trout. The scenery and the fish were absolutely amazing and the best part was we had the whole place to ourselves,

The last time I caught some of those beautiful fish was in 1998 in the Pasayten Wilderness. 30 miles from the trailhead at I believe Ptarmigan lake near Tatoosh butte.

Skagit County High Lakes have a few alpine trout where you’ll need a larger clear photo bag. These High experiences are un matched to regular fishing. Fish on brotha, looking forward to more of these

What type of device did you insert into your water bottle? Was it a purifier?

Yes a steripen. It used UV light to kill bacteria, viruses, and parasites

The key is getting you casting down. I use a compact Skagit head which makes for easy casting and no need for false casting. Either way practice casting a lot before you hit the water and it will make a big difference. This was filmed in the PNW.
