Love the channel, my family is lucky enough to have a cabin up there with little pine creek running right through our cabin. Awesome to see you fish the locations I see all the time

Hey, just recently stumbled upon your channel and I want to say that you crack me up. I love your enthusiasm and sense of humor. I recently turned 70 and I’m thinking about getting back into trout fishing. It’s been many years since I fly fished and I think it’s now or never. Your videos provide me with the inspiration and motivation I need to get back out there. Years ago I frequently fished the Resica section of the Big Bushkill. If you haven’t tried it you should give it a go. It’s 6 miles of fly fishing only no kill water with some huge water falls and lots of rocks. Btw, are you in witness protection? Would be nice to associate a face and first name to your videos. Keep the episodes coming. I have to do my homework before spring.

Great comment, appreciate it. If you do get back into trout fishing this spring, good luck and let me know how it goes. Never too late. I've fished the Pocono's pretty extensively but never Big Bushkill, thanks for the suggestion, I'll give that a try sometime this year. As far as witness protection, with all of the overly intrusive social media (of which I have none aside from this) and an increasing general lack of privacy, I genuinely appreciate anonymity - albeit on my relatively inconsequential/minuscule trout fishing channel. Anyways, thanks again and I'll try to keep up the vids.

Love your enthusiasm as a younger man I made it a goal to fish many of the places you go to know. Happy holidays keep on walking.

Still alive lol. For a few reasons, haven't fished much last two months but springs right around the corner. Getting out today on the Upper Breeches, so hopefully I'll have something soon.

Man. Heck with your haters. You have inspired me to get outside and go fishing. I had an epic day at one of the spots you have put on your channel. Six or seven wild browns and my first brook trout ever. I handled them with wet hands and released everything safely. Thank you!

My bro. Good Stuff man. Keep it up. I was randomly inspired (now like 5 years ago) by SeaMoney (a saltwater channel) - as long as you embrace nature, exercise, treat the fish well, and enjoy life - that's what it is all about - cheers (which I never actually say in real life)

Just found your channel! Slate Run is near my cabin!! Its cool to see someone near!

That area (between Blackwell and Waterville) not to mention up through the Gorge, is my favorite area in PA. Beautiful scenery, remoteness, and culture. If you have a Cabin in and around Slate (or Cedar or any other significant Blue Line on the Map), your lucky. Cherish it.

Glad to see you transitioning to a long rod over the years, it would be a disservice to fish those rods without a fly!

Winter is a tough time to get fish interested in eating. Metabolism is lower, the trout buffet is considerably pared down. You did well.

If you ever find a dead deer in the creeks that has maggots on it, there's a good chance trout will be behind it feeding on the maggots

Tough, tough fishing on those two streams. Both in getting to the water and fooling those smart fish.

Best advice I could give is stay back further especially in that clear water fish the back end of pool or riffle 1st and work you way forward slowly hitting every spot that looks like a fish will hold!

My family has a cabin up there (tributary of Pine near Cammal) so I've thought about it. I'm a TU member down in SC PA but definitely will consider it in the future.

Keep working on that fly fishing! It’s just like spinner fishing, there are a million little tweaks to your technique that will up your catch rate. It just takes time on the water do you learn them. Look up videos by Devin Olsen and Lance Egan. Their tips and tricks well revolutionize your fly fishing game.
