Please consider giving us subscribers more info on what flies you are using, what month are you fishing, what time of day you are fishing, etc. While enjoy watching others fish, I prefer to learn something while I'm at it. Thanks.

That’s fair! This was last week, from around 8am-4pm or so, and we were fishing around 25ft deep with small size 16-18 chironomids just off the bottom!

@@TheFlyDudes Thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate that. I believe you mentioned you dialed in on chironomid color, what color seemed to work? I tried looking at all the other fishers out there. Didn't seem like too many others were hooking up. Good job to you, your brother, and your dad.

@@TheFlyDudes "25ft deep" - that is amazing. At that depth do you ever fish that straight down technique with a hi-d line, some people call it the 'dangle' of something like that. No indicator - just slowly lifting and lowering just off bottom with a short leader on a type VI line? Fishing out of my pontoon with my behind just off the water I'm not sure how I'd ever get 25ft of leader out of the water to cast - that said, you've given me plenty of motivation to "try" it anyway! :) You guys have it dialed in - that's for sure.

I had so much fun watching this video....I honestly feel as if I were there in real time!! Anyway, as an 'old lady' of 70, I have recently become interested in fly fishing....I love it so much! I began to learn how a couple of years ago after watching so many catch bigger fish at my favorite lake: Pryamid/Reno. (I heard you make mention of Pyramid). My big fish of 17lbs came at Spider Point throwing a black marabou (3/8 oz)....what a thrill! I live in Bridgeport and am looking forward to the upcoming season in the Eastern Sierra, and am really excited about fishing Crowley. I tried to fly fish there a few seasons ago using my float tube, but I really didn't know what I was doing, and honestly am still learning...hence you-tube! Thank you for posting, as it has been very informative and educational for me! Could you fill me in on a few details, for example, how did you set up for indicator rig? This is also my new favorite way to catch trout...there's something about watching the 'bobber' slip under the water...very exciting! Anything that you can add to help with my experience will be so appreciated!!!

hey man.. just came across this video.. looked like an amazing time. I'm new to fly fishing and will be going to crowley next month. If I may ask, what does your leader system look like to get down into deeper water? Are you building your own leaders or using store bought tapered ones. Any info would be awesome.. Again.. Great video!!

I’ve also felt the pain of a trout that won’t stop flipping in the net and you can’t get the fly out for the longest time, it’s infuriating 😂

Haha it’s just that good of a lake and people know about it! Lots of LA and San Diego people come up and fish there.

Ahh yes... fly fishing with a bobber. Try tying a small mini jig on. You’ll catch more and it takes a lot more skill to fish. Nice catches though.

Fish those all the time! Not too worried about the skill level, it’s all about having fun. Thanks for the comment though.

@@TheFlyDudes THANK YOU. Loved the Pyramid Lake as well. North Nets? Awesome and you guys rock. As a board advisor to the Tahoe Truckee Fly Fishers would you like to give our club an online paid talk gig? 200 members and I am spreading the word about you guys. We have a Crowley Lake "outing" and I am the fishmeister May 24-29 and will be at the Fish Camp RV sites. I am a fan.

@@TheFlyDudes How far down are you in 25 foot of water? Was that a "mercury blood midge" or "what" as blood and black do not make sense. I have shared your videos with 225 member Tahoe fly fishers and we will be at Crowley May 2021. Guide spots available for us?
