That looked like a beautiful wild fish going by the dark colourations on it.. A fish that'd make any angler's day...well done 👏 Oh btw, ditch that net 😂😂😂... She's letting you down there.. Get yourself a decent solid framed bad boy... Those triangle style nets just don't have the strength to support the bigger fish and you'll be able to net those next big ones with absolute ease I can promise you that.. All the best.. Ross 🍻

Thanks. It was a while ago now so I can’t remember exactly. I think it was an olive or black streamer with a gold head.

Great fish and well played. I thought you handled the net getting caught on the wire well. Well done on the not swearing. Did you weigh it?

Hi Craig. Thanks. No, didn’t weigh it but I did measure my net to guess the Length. I had it at around 60cm. Was very worried it might come off as I use barbless hooks.

Hi. Yes, the news agent in Staveley called the beehive has day tickets available but the tarn is closed to visitors at the minute as we are in the process of replacing the platforms. It will take a couple of months as the old ones are falling apart and need to be removed.
