Fun video. Love targeting new species on the fly. You should do more of this stuff

Get a size 20 treble hook on 2 lb test monofilament leader. Place 1/4 inch long piece of flexible white silicone on one of the hooks. Broadcast some tiny pieces of bread near a school of mullet. Cast in the school where the bread is slowly sinking. This is the only effective method of which I am aware. The mullet in NW Florida are abundant and do not have a muddy taste. I air fry the fillets in mustard and crunchy corn meal. Good luck.

There is no way those huge flies will be effective on mullet. You really need size 18 or smaller. Chum with bread then use something that imitates that maybe a very small white fly or bit of sponge. You also want a long fine leader in water like that. 3 metres or so.
