Hi. Just come accross your vids. Great stuff! What aftm line weight were you using? Oh, and by the way, you can catch anything that swims on flies!
@Vildmark2 жыл бұрын
That’s a 5wt line.

What kind of line do you have on it? I've just got the X5 and trying to get it set up!
@Vildmark3 жыл бұрын
On the fly reel I use a weight forward floating line with a leader and 5x tippet. On the fixed spool I use a 10lb braid and then change the tip depending on what I’m fishing for. Ie wire trace for pike or 6lb fluorocarbon for perch.

Thanks very much! I've just ordered all of that, need to plan my next trip the the tarns now.

I was. Losing fish and catching trees! 🤦🏼♂️ Not my best day. Should have got some sleep after a night shift really but the chance was there. You seem to do really well.

I know. That’s only my third time fly fishing so must be doing something right or fishing places that don’t get fished often.
