Great Video! The river Buna looks beautiful. I am thinking of visiting Blagaj and the river Buna during a roadtrip. Where can i get the permit to fish there and how much dose it cost per day?

A great question! I went there with an aim to catch a soft mouth trout again. Unfortunately, I didn't succeed. However, it was a new river for me, new exploration, a new experience. That is always nice. Most of the rivers in Balkans have a common problem - lack of care and self awareness of the people. On Buna you will often find concrete walls on the river with no fisher passages. The ecosystem is disturbed in general. Fishing wise Buna is nice given that these trout are really strong and appear to be wild. I've also seen some soft mouth... If you want to compare it to fishing in Bavaria or Tirol, I would say it is a bit more demanding, as the fish is kind of chary, due to the slower current and clear water. E.g. in Bavaria I am regularly catching 50+ graylings on nymphs tied on 12 hook. In Bosnia on some rivers, you have no chance with anything bigger than 18. I could talk on this topic for hours... 😂 Cheers

From Birnkhoffs waters I fished Moosach in Freising only. Had a lot of fish as well, but didn't want to publish the video, as there is no much sense advertising private waters. Cheers, Admir
