What was that bright stretch of line on the top end of your leader?
@mikefsher7 жыл бұрын
Its the top end of a leader system i've devised for spooky fish
@KiwiFisher017 жыл бұрын
you use it instead of an indicator?
@mikefsher7 жыл бұрын
Kiwi Fisher nah - just to smooth out turnover
@KiwiFisher017 жыл бұрын
Oh I see, so it's just a slightly thicker/heavier length of line. I use a meter of about 40lb line after my fly line for that, and then taper it down from 10 to 5 or 4. works well.

Y R U nymph fishing it is uncivilized
@mikefsher5 жыл бұрын
Riiiight... Trout here in NZ feed predominantly sub surface (about 80%) so an enlightened angler will recognize what a sighted trout is doing and use the appropriate technique... not rocket science is it?. Although someone who has to abbreviate 'why are you' to Y R U - is certainly not a rocket scientist, and further to that, probably uncivilized...
