Awesome footage, as always! I call those "hold over" days. Those days I think about in the middle of winter when my favorite spots are buried or frozen over.

That is a good name for them. I’ll be reliving this one for a while. Thanks

Your carp fly fishing skills are amazing. I know how difficult it is to fish and shoot drones at the same time. I look forward to great videos in the future.

Thanks, the drone has been a fun new challenge, but it sure can be a pain sometimes. I’ll keep going, just hoping for a short warm winter with a lot of water. Lol, I’m not asking for much.

Always great content man. Don't let people change how you make your videos. Legendary day. Any chance you could make a couple fly tying videos or suggestions on flies for carp.
@carponthefly82822 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I plan on doing more tying videos and fly selection videos in the next few weeks. I’m going to squeeze every drop out of what is left of this year, which probably won’t be much. And then focus on tying, fly selection, and some other more tutorial type things I have been thinking about. Thanks again for the support on this and the comment.

@@carponthefly8282 my pleasure man. Very few content creators demonstrating the awesomeness of carp fishing. Especially how you film your videos. You're drone shots are phenomenon. I will look forward to winter time fly ty then . Success fishing.

Wish I had this type of fishing close to me I have to travel 1 hour and sometimes will only spot one , you have any videos about the best time to target them
@carponthefly82822 жыл бұрын
I don’t, but that is a good idea. There are a lot of factors that can play into that, so I will add that to my “todo video list”. Thanks for the comment.

What flies are you using? I'm trying to figure out how to catch carp on the fly here in NY
@carponthefly82822 жыл бұрын
The short answer is mostly size 8-10 Carp Mauls. The long answer is in a video I’LL post at the bottom of this. The actual fly you use is not nearly as critical as the presentation and stealth. The challenge is getting out fly in front of the fish without alerting the fish that a threat is nearby. Once we do that, most reasonable patterns will work.
