Great videos and thank you... I realize they are from 4-5 yrs ago, but still beautiful... I had a camp on East Fork in Wharton...

That is one of my absolute favorite streams to fish. Have been fishing that stream for years now and it never disappoints.

We have a camp at the confluence of Wild Boy Run and the East Fork of the Sinnemahoning Creek. Kettle Creek, Cross Fork and Hammersley Fork are over the mountain from us, easily accessible. We are in Trout nirvana there.

As always great work! Kettle creek seems pretty special. So lucky your family has a cabin up there. I am very envious! I will need to make a trip out there next year for sure and hit Kettle and tribs. PA Woods and Water just did one too. You guys must have just missed each other. Look forward to your next piece of work!

We are really fortunate to have grown up there and gotten to learn the area so well! I bet we were up there at the same time. We're up there every weekend during the spring so if you make it up next year, give us a heads up and we can get together. I'd be happy to show you a few places. The main creek has some of the best hatches in the state! Of course I am just biased though so take that with a grain of salt haha

Fun vid! Try using a "Ketchum-Release" with a GoPro - then you never have to touch the fish and never have to take it out of the water. Result? You catch and release fish has a better chance of survival.

I'm heading up to camp tomorrow after work to check trail cams and get some tree stands set up. I have heard that the water is still in great shape, and I'm definitely going to fish Kettle and some of the tribs in my free time this weekend. Awesome video! I can't wait to see the footage that you guys got out in Montana.

Thanks Kyle! We are hoping to head up another weekend here soon as well. Need to hang those tree stands! Can't wait to get up there for archery!

Have you ever tried upper kettle creek, off of the butternut hallow road?
@BackyardBassin6 жыл бұрын
It has been a while but I've fished up that way before. Since our camp is below Cross Fork we tend to fish that section more. Upper kettle is always worth a trip up the valley though! Thank you for watching!

Have u tried the new orvis h3 euro rod ? Best videos man.
@BackyardBassin5 жыл бұрын
We have not tried it yet. Looks like a great rod though. I don't even know of anyone who has one for that matter. I'd be curious to know what people thought

Are the browns crowding in on that upper headwaters area of Kettle?
@BackyardBassin6 жыл бұрын
There are browns in most of the good sized tributaries unfortunately. They are still fun so i guess it can be a good and bad thing. We do know of a few larger tribs though that have only brook trout and they are some of the nicest brooks I've caught!
@Dinoxt126 жыл бұрын
Wonder how big a brook trout can get too in size ?
@BackyardBassin6 жыл бұрын
Around here at least they can grow to 10 inches, maybe bigger. I've never caught one that big though so for all I know they can get bigger that even that! Thanks for watching!
