I know this spot well. Thank you for pulling the specific name from the description, I appreciate it. It's one of the last spots left on the Middle D that's still a "locals" spot. And congrats to anyone who found it by putting in the hard work of adventuring in on your own by using Google Maps.

Absolutely, we found it through a ton of map searching but figured it was well known due to how cool it was haha glad to hear that it's a bit of a gem for the locals. Thanks for watching the video!

Awesome!! Its a super cool fishery. Definitely find some smaller water to fish too because the Deschutes can be tough.

Love your enthusiasm for outdoors and fishing great spots. With that said it’s a bummer you name this spot in particular because it’s one of the last spots around where we never run into anybody fishing, which is a pretty special thing these days. Could you consider taking the name down in description and letting people figure it out on their own?

Hey there, appreciate the kind words and I can totally respect the comment so I went ahead and pulled that from the description! Thanks for watching and dropping a nice comment about your concerns, always refreshing to see. I figured this was more well known. Tight Lines!

Thanks so much for checking it out! This was my first experience on the Deschutes and I’m excited to fish it more. How did your day go? I’ve got a video coming out tomorrow from the lower portion.

@@LifeOutdoors It was actually my first time fly fishing haha, was with a guide and learning to cast, dry flies, wet flies, and nymphing. It was a blast and the canyon is beautiful but the only thing I caught was a rock :D

Well hey it sounds like you captured the idea of fly fishing and now you just need to keep getting out there until you catch one! I would say head towards the Santiam river and fish small creeks in that area for coastal cutthroat trout as they are eager to eat and are great practice.
