@@troutwithleigh4503 I tied some up and forgot about them. I happened to try them yesterday at my local water, brilliant action! Some of the takes were savage! Some were gentle, they did the business!! Missed a few takes, but they come back! Thanks gain... lol

Thanks for watching, we looked at a number of video's on line and most are great and show how to tie a fly perfectly well but don't describe how to fish it so we picked up the ball and thought we would do a series with a bit more explanation and a bit of footage to show that it really does work!

I tie them wider and use a marker to make them mottled. The make a great leech. One of the few flies that I use to catch walleyes on the flyrod.

great video, i think i could even tie this fly....when is the best time to use this fly?
@troutwithleigh4503
@troutwithleigh4503 3 жыл бұрын
Yes one of the easiest to tie and probably one of the most effective I have used for a long time!! used it on a fun day at Avington on Monday in the catch and release lake and quite literally had a take every cast! amazing some days, but like any remarkable fly not always the case! No real best time of the year really caught fish on it all year round, give it a go on your local water, best colour for me is a bright yellow to be honest followed by orange, black I believe is also good but not tried it yet?
