Those bows had to be stacked in that tail out. A good spot to remember! I enjoyed watching that but I especially liked the wild trout on tiny nymphs. I recently got back from a successful trip catching wild brooks, Browns and cutthroats on dry/droppers using #20-24 nymphs. What a blast. Thanks for the excellent video.

Thanks for doing Yellow Creek. The upper section you fished is stocked, but all that is left this time of year are wild fish. The project has wild fish also. Mostly browns but I have caught small wild rainbows. I lost a 20+ brown in the hole you were fishing back in May. The wild browns are in there. Come again in the spring during a hatch and see all the fish rising and you will be even more impressed.

dominic regos thanks for the additional info. Yellow Creek is tough to get info on.

Wooly Bugged , Yes it is. You have to fish it to find out its secrets. But looks like you did very well.

Glad you liked fishing one of home town streams, there's a ton of fish in that project. You only just started into some great fishing

If you are a streamer guy, the hole you are fishing at the bill mcllay fly fishing only section below the little waterfall, houses in my opinion the biggest most aggressive fish in pa by far.

Hey there....im a western pa guy fairly new to fly fishing....this is my 2nd season of full fly fishing only.....as a novice, have a question for you....i love your videos, and noticed in them you fish your strike indicator fairly deep, even in very shallow water...... my question is, do you adjust it depending on depth at all? Is there a rule of thumb? And how do you leave it so high and still get good action with your nymphs and never get snagged in shallow water? Any tips you can give are greatly appreciated!! My dad is in his 70s and its been a blessing to bond with him over this while i still can....he has yet to catch a fish, and any tips that i can learn and pass on to him as well would be priceless

Krob Diggler so I should show this in my video but the position of my indicator changes in every area I fish. I follow a rule of positioning the indicator 1-1/2 times the depth of the water.

Hey Mike - ever fish here in the Winter? Going to be in the area in a few weeks and would like to know how the cold weather fishing is at this spot. Thanks in advance.

Just visited here if you’re looking for somewhere that’s not around a lot of houses and doesn’t have highway noise then this place is perfect, although the fishing wasn’t good I’m sure if ur talented at fly fishing then you’ll catch something 8/10 spot just a lot of over hang

By far, the richest water in terms of nymphs turned...Old timers have told me, when the green drake hatch was on, you would turn trout in every hole...but that was 50 years ago.
@dominicregos49025 жыл бұрын
D Wetick, It is still the same today. Green drakes will bring trout up in every hole, riffle, and run. The fish are there but they are well educated and you need to be spot on with fly and your drift.

The AugVlog awesome! I was there once this past spring but didn't have a great day. There's a lot of water there to explore.

They don’t stock Brookies in yellow creek. That section is only stocked with rainbows.
