Sulpher is the best mayfly hatch I have on my river, and they are hatching now.

Thanks Jim. That fly will be productive on my local river Vyrnwy Wales at this time of the year, was looking for a pattern very similar to this yesterday and you put this tutorial up as if by magic. Hooked a monster brown couple of days back on fly similar but with tail. Sadly it snapped off when I bullied it from fallen tree. I didn't cry as I'd had a 3 1\2 lb earlier in day.

Glad to hear from you, This will be a good pattern, what I like is that you can tie it to match many different hatches. Never be disappointed over the ones we lose they teach us something and that is the sport sometimes we win sometimes the trout wins.

Another great looking fly Jim. Question: I can’t find a small blender to mix dubbing. Can you recommend someone who sells them? Thank you

Walmart definitely has them 15 bucks

I had my wife look for one at yard sales for a couple years. Kirk seems to have the answer.

Very 'fishy' pattern. I think I could actually see that on the water.

IN this size you better be able to. But joking aside even smaller it will be visible. Thanks
