Just found this one from a couple years ago. Great tutorial Matt. Many changes over the last years. 😎

Yes indeed Todd! I kind of cringe when watching any of my videos from that first year. :-)

You bet Sam! Keep in mind, this thing doesn't float well, or for very long. Without the white wing it'll be hard to see two seconds after it hits the water. Of course, a lot of people fish ants as wet flies so nothing wrong with that. :-)

Matt, pardon my language. But that is one Bad A$$ fly. Totally impressive. Man that is a small hook to work with. I can’t even imagine what the 20’s would be like? Very cool fly. You should have been a surgeon, if you’re not? Awesome video.

I like the way that looks . I bet it would work well on my creek here in Alabama. Thanks Matt

Thanks Chip! I've actually only used a hard bodied ant a few times and they didn't float as well as my old eyes needed them to. :-)

That's a good looking ant Matt

Thanks Dave. I've only fished this hard bodied ant pattern a couple of times and it does not float at all. Maybe for the first second or two then you have to fish it completely wet.
