Perhaps a wrap a mm or two into the bubble preceding the final one might segment it and suggest a head.

That bubble Dun is pretty nifty. Thank you. Instead of making the wing upright, did you ever tie in the bubble & then leave the hair over a dubbed body to make the downwing, so it looks like a downwing caddis? Or hopper? Nose oil. If you wash your face before tying, so your glasses don’t slide down your nose, silicon floatant or reel lube will produce the same result. ;-)

We do the bubble type fly with a Trude wing and an upright wing. They both are important parts of our personal fly boxes.
