i found that 10 pound test mono works great for the legs..on the shrimps i tie.. after i uv resin them into the body.. i trim to size. then with my girl friends finger nail polish🤪 i paint the tips red.. about 2 or 3 mm,, clear space about 4 mm, then black nail polish about 5 mm then clear to the body...

I thought it looked like you were leaking into your dubbing, I thought you were adding a blood scent! 🤣😂 Whatever it is you do with your hands it looks like you are rough on your fingers, make sure you care for them, you are kind of stuck with them for awhile. J used to work in the Oil Industry in the north. My fingers were so bad they would snap the thread with the cracks and callouses. The Shrimp looks great! It's going to be good anywhere fish eat shrimp. You get a nice natural bend to the body that has to fish well. Thanks for the video!!

Tried it with mono-line for the legs, but they seem to fall off quite easily. Is it because the jewelry-thread is better? or could it be my resin?:) Awesome vid!

can you please throw the fly in a bowl of water to see how it sinks?
@Coastfly3 жыл бұрын
Saltwater and freshwater have different densities and throwing this into a bowl of tap water won’t show anything really.. First of, a bowl is very small - I would never fish water that shallow. Second, this fly is a bit heavier than a dubbing shrimp yes - but not heavier than a jiggy or a fly with a resin head or maybe even beadchain eyes. My best advice is to tie up a few and fish them to see if they fit your fishing style or if you like the movement of the fly. There’s not much movement in this one I’ll admit but then again - a real shrimp doesnt pulsate in the water either. They’re quite stiff actually.. 😊
@mariosfliegendose13343 жыл бұрын
@@Coastfly My question is not if the fly sinks slow or fast. I think that this fly with the long legs and the heavy weight from all the resin will turn the fly and it sinks maybe upside down....
