Fly tying the Honey pot wet fly with Barry Ord Clarke

This easy little Honey pot wet fly /soft hackle is a great addition to the late season fly box. I also tie this pattern with a 2.8 mm slotted tungsten bead for a heavier variant. I like to fish it just below the surface with long slow pulls.

Mr. Clarke I just found your channel and all I can say is outstanding. In all the years I have been tying and the many channels that I have watched you are one if the best tiers I have ever seen. I am getting up in age and my eyes are nowhere near as sharp as they use to be so some of your work is encredible. Watching your videos I have learned so e techniques I have never seen before. Thanks for sharing your gift with us viewers and God bless you and your family. Great channel and I look forward to your next tying session. One positive side about just finding your channel....I can benge watch your collection now. I think I will stay away from the smaller ties in the 14-28 range. Eyes just won't let me! Hello feather bender, I have a question for you. I like to add hackle collars like this to some of my nymph patterns like hares ear but find hungarian partridge barbules are a bit too long for anything 16 and under. Any suggestions for an alternative material for smaller flies?
