Creech, I like making the back legs on this one better than the rubber ones. It's easier, just hope they're as durable

It’s like you guys knew I was tying up some hoppers today. Too bad I just picked up the Morrish cutter set, I like this pattern a little more. Guess I’ll need to pick up this one soon.

Hello, greetings from Costa Rica. I found the final result of that cricket fascinating. I have only been starting fly fishing for 5 months, despite the short time I am already taking my first steps in fly tying. I started with attractors which I have already tried giving me goods results and now I am tying shrimp. Unfortunately here in Costa Rica there is no market for materials, it is very difficult to find something that can be used to tie, so I started tying with foam, wich is the easiest to get. I'm interested in maybe being able to get those foam cutters to give a better finish to my flies. I would really appreciate it if you could help me with the price of that equipment and where it could purchase it. Thank you very much and greetings.

You do all this prep work when you’re tying 10-15 dozen for the shop?

Are the cutters available on your store? I tie a lot of hoppers (stuck between bass and trout country) and this pattern makes me actually want to invest in cutters. Also, I was anticipating the thread breaking as soon as I heard "70 denier". Everytime I have 70 loaded into a bobbin I seem to be on edge during every thread wrap.
@FlyFishFood5 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I like 70 denier to keep the thread wraps from bulking up too much on this fly, but most terrestrials I tie with 140. The cutters are out of stock right now because we sold through all of them that we had. They are in the process of making more. Could be up to 4 weeks to get them again.

@@FlyFishFood thanks for the reply. I'll keep an eye open on the store for when they come back in stock.
