Another amazing trip report Jayden, relaxed and informative! My husband and I took his parents to NZ, started in Wellington, then Christchurch and lastly ZQN (flying Air NZ). I wasn't stalking you but noticed on IG you and your "dude" were in Queenstown at the same time! Weather was amazing, and yes heavy fog every morning. We were lucky to fly in the day before the fog started. My In Laws loved NZ especially Queenstown (I was the tour guide as I've spent over half of my working life in NZ, so I know it well). Did you try Fergburger? It's always packed! The approach into ZQN is amazing, we flew in on an ATR72, alps and mountains were so close! Looking forward to your next report, keep up the good work buddy and dude!😁

My HK relatives lived in Cheung Wan, right under the flight oath of Kai Tak! Every morning we'd have an automatic alarm clock on the dot at 0630H. My cousins absolutely slept through a 747 literally screaming above the block.

Great video, Jayden! I was surprised to see how chaotic the boarding process was. It reminded me of the old bus gates at Washington National with not enough space, blocking off access to the area, and grumpy staff. I agree that that people not filing in on the bus is annoying, but the bus driver yelling at the passengers isn’t the solution. Also, I felt bad for your partner being wedged into the middle seat like that. 😮 However, it looks like you had a great time in NZ!

Wowee that approach into Queenstown is just stunning, I need to fly into there one day. Been too Queenstown a few times however only by road (the drive is just as stunning!), it is one of my 2 favorite spots in NZ, the other is Mount Maunganui on the North Island. ‘My dude’, love it!

Jayden thank you for your comments on the yelling. It is happening all to often at Sydney Airport. It has nothing to do with re-opening from Covid. It is plain ugly and bad services levels. I am not sure why management and operations continue to allow it. Travellers aren't all local either, if we want the tourism dollar lets not yell at tourists.

I did jet boating last time haha. We didn't do too many expensive activities because we wanted to spend more in Hong Kong instead (we went two weeks after Queenstown). It was from a vegan restaurant in Queenstown, it had a bumpy ride from the restaurant 🤣 but it was absolutely delish!

When you board the aircraft, the best way is to use the jet bridge rather than via tarmac. I was on board with Jetstar last month via tarmac at Melbourne and the ground staff somehow told me to stop filming and in some videos I saw that people still recording in the tarmac anyway, so what's the point?

Australia regulations don’t allow electronic devices to be used on the tarmac and in immigration/security area unfortunately. The staff kinda have to yell, I’ve seen every Aussie airline (Qantas, Virgin, Bonza etc.) staff doing so to ‘offenders’

I’m eat vegan food unless I have no choice. For example at a birthday party when the host didn’t arrange anything for those with dietary requirements. I’m not allergic or anything but my preference is plant based so I can deal with diary and meat sometimes.
