Flyable LAAT Gunship (Unedited - Quick mod test) | STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT 2

Did a quick mod to get ships playable in singleplayer offline supremacy (instant action). Did a mesh and sound swap on the N1 to make it a LAAT gunship. Lazy, but fun! testing on naboo only.

I really hope if there comes a Battlefront 3 in like 5 to 6 years that its like the 2005 Battlefront but with much better graphics a lot of game modes, customizations and 100 vs 100 matches with the technology in that time that should be easy to handle

The fact that, in the near decade since EA has the star-war license, at no point did EA not give the players the chance to fly a LAATi, loaded for bear (with missiles, the 4x laser turrets, door gunners and hover-ability) is criminal in its absence.

I miss how this ship was back in the original Star Wars battlefront how an a or other player can fly the ship and you could sit in where units sit in waiting to be dropped off and it can eventually land so it can drop off or spawn units in that position, I remember standing in that ship enjoying the ride waiting to be drop off or battlefront 2 you can use this to make a spawn point in enemy ships that can

It would be cool if they added a feature like this like, say for an example your teammates or friends were getting rushed you could just pick them up and then spray the droids with the lasers, in my opinion that would be super cool and it’s my dream to add it.

I've been thinking of This for years. A Galactic conquest mode, like the original Battlefront 2, with Multiplayer. When a Planet is attacked in a Seamless Space to Ground battle. ( like what was advertised in Battlefront 3, and is achieved in some Battlefront 2 2005 custom maps.) The defenders have a command post or two already, and the Attackers need to use a shuttle or other craft to land and take posts on the surface. If the Attackers take all the command posts they win. The Defenders need to hold their posts, and destroy the Attacking ships to win. Unlike the original Battlefront 2, the Frigates would also have Interiors, spawn points and fighters/shuttles on board as well. Similar to the cancelled Battlefront 3. If the Defenders have a fleet in orbit, then The Attackers have to destroy them too. Whichever side has no spawn points left, is the side that loses. The Sensors, Communications, Bridge, Engines and Reactor (replacing the "Life Support" system from the original) All need to be destroyed for the Larger ships to explode. Destroying the reactor alone will not cause the ship to explode or even be disabled, but it will cause every system to lose effectiveness as they switch to auxiliary power (Engines become slower, shields become weaker, and the Turbolasers fire less often) as well as prevent retreats. Frigates only have one hardpoint to destroy inside the ship, and their hull can be attacked directly from the outside like the original Battlefront 2 as well. A ship with all its hardpoints destroyed will explode in a few seconds, Allowing time for both boarders and crew to evacuate, Escape Pods can be used to either land on the surface, or board another ship if they can reach it before being shot down. All Hardpoints can be repaired in battle, but not if they are destroyed. The Shield Generator would function as normal for Battlefront 2 2005, that is, the opposite (can be repaired if the shields are down, but not repaired to help keep the shields up, and can only be attacked directly from the inside, no external weakspots. The shields can of course be brought down simply by overwhelming them from the outside however, just like Battlefront 2 2005) Campaign Upgrades can allow the shields to protect the turrets as well, so the shields would have to be brought down to do ANY damage to the ship whatsoever. Also similar to Battlefront 2 2005, only the engines and reactor can be destroyed from the inside. a Turbolift in the turret control room would teleport friendly players to another section of the ship, containing the bridge (which can be looked out from), sensors and communications areas for repairs (or ComScan 1 and ComScan 2 for the Imperials). The Turbolift cannot be used by the opposing team. The Bridge on the Providence and Imperial Star Destroyers would be relocated to their proper positions. The Hangar on the Imperial Star Destroyer would be underneath the ship rather than on the side, the Communications and Sensors would be merged and doubled into the two ComScan globes on the top of the bridge tower (which would NOT be shield generators).

Unfortunately that's a very tricky one, as the campaign bundles cannot be loaded. In order to do it, it would have to be a custom model imported, which is something I haven't done yet.

Don't have a lot of time outside of work, and I've lost interest in the game. Bigger and better mods have come about that people can actually download. I'd love to spend all day modding or making my own games (with star wars mods obviously). Maybe someday, but for now I have a career to build...

Sadly not, most are out of date, unstable, use 30GB of ram or break the game in a critical way. I think some might still work, links in the description of each video.
