It's super helpful to hear all of your in-flight commentary about right of way and wake ect. Being a beginner, its great reassurance to hear a pros real time analysis. thank you for the super helpful videos 🤙

Greg, this is one of the most masterful videos I’ve seen, hands down. What I like is that you pause and do a stocktake between sections. This makes the video in another league compared to, for example, the slope landing video. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the slope landing video, but I was doing a lot of rewinds to get the sense of what your were trying to do.

Grelt video because of the back light from the Sun, as a semi new pilot and not beeing a toplanding ACE, it is very helpfull to se the movement and amount og branke input that you use when approating landing.. 👍

Once in Spain. I saw a dude, approaching too low over parked in full sun vans. He got one side collapse (air bubble from hot roofs). Almost killed himself. Fortunately reacted in time & roughly touched down. But he was off for some time that day. Beware of such objects on your final!!

I'm always kinda paranoid about a rotor. How does it look in various wind speeds and hill shapes? You have no problem coming in behind the hill. Is it because that hill is so smoothly rounded?

Love your videos! But just my 2 cents opinion on this one: the site in the video is definetely not a problematic launching site where its difficult to top land, as it is extremely moderate grassy slope with plenty of room for the landing. (Devil's Pyke i suppose?) I think that a top-landing tutorial with reference to a more complex site situation where you don't have that much room for a speed section before the flare will be even more beneficial because in this specific site, it looks like you can just as much perform a regular "open-field" landing. That being said- great video, like always! (:

absolutely, Tom, and a fair point ... but I tend to produce something instructional about where I happen to be flying, so in this instance I'm using the opportunity to focus on flare timing as it can be demonstrated really well in such consistent, smooth, simple conditions. I'll do a more advanced landing video when I get the right conditions and site and happen to video it too - my idea with the Flybubble Channel is to always build up foundation skills first before displaying/suggesting risky/difficult/challenging scenarios.

How about a top landing video that shows how to land in strong winds on a cliff launch site with lots of rotor unless you touch down within 5 meters of the lip? Such as La Bajada in NM? I like the one hand up for cross after touchdown, I'll have to try that.
